In an Exhaust Tube Air Conditioning Unit, both the evaporator and the condenser are situated within the room to be cooled.
The majority of the air that is passed through the Exhaust Tube Air Conditioning Unit is directed over the evaporator and is returned back into the room as cold air. A small amount of air is passed across the condenser which cools the refrigerant gas. This air is then expelled from the room as it becomes hot via the exhaust tube. The exhaust tube is usually positioned to expell this air through a window.
Exhaust Tube Air Conditioning Units are self-contained and the hot air is expelled from the room via an exhaust tube.
Split Air Conditioning units are supplied in two parts - a unit that is situated within the room to be cooled and a heat exchanger which is situated outside the room.
The condenser (inside the room) is cooled by water that is circulated through the heat exchanger (outside the room). The system is completely sealed and will require no additional water once the system is installed. An advantage of this system is that the pipes connecting the two units can be extended up to 30 metres in length - allowing the heat exchanger to be positioned well away from the room being cooled.
Split Air Conditioning units are designed to cool by water being passed through a heat exchanger situated outside the room to be cooled.
Sometimes there are occasions when is is impossible or not practical to use a conventional portable air conditioning unit. When this occurs, the use of a Carrier Evaporative Cooler can be used instead.
Evaporative Coolers are often used where access to the outside is not available. The Carrier range of Evaporative Coolers are an excellent solution to uncomfortably warm conditions.
Evaporative Coolers are designed to cool air through the process of natural evaporation by passing the air across a wet filter - thus providing a cool and refreshing air flow. When the air passes the internal wet filter it will be cooled. Although the overall room temperature will not be reduced, Evaporative Air Coolers provide localised comfort cooling zones.

The Carrier Rental Shop range of portable infrared heaters are ideal for use in large spaces that must counteract frequent loss of heat, such as warehouses, garages and airplane hangars. These spaces often have large doors or other cavities that are opened and closed often. Infrared heat works well to keep these areas from cooling too much.
